Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
Want a safer and smarter way to use your iPhone in the car? The answer is Apple CarPlay. Connect via USB and get access to your favourite iOS features on the Pioneer big screen. Navigate with Apple Maps, listen to iTunes, make and receive calls, or send and receive texts — all directly through the head unit.
Thanks to Siri, all of this is now available hands-free. With simple voice commands, you can safely control your iPhone as you drive, and stay focused on the road.
Apple CarPlay also supports additional apps such as Google Maps, Spotify, Waze, Audible, and many more.
If you have an Android smartphone, you can integrate it directly into your head unit thanks to Android Auto. Connect via USB, and you get easy access to Android’s best features on Pioneer’s 6.8″ touch screen. To take things a step further, you can also activate voice control and use Google Assistant as you drive.
Navigate with Google Maps, update Google Calendar, listen to music, or make and receive calls. Google Assistant can even read out your text messages for you, and reply to them using speech recognition.
Dual Phone Bluetooth
Pioneer’s ‘auto connection’ function supports the pairing of two phones at the same time. When you have an incoming phone call — you can answer it on either of the connected phones.
The function also allows you to make and receive calls with one phone and stream music on the other. You can switch between the phones at any time via the Pioneer touch screen.
Never miss any calls again. As soon as you’re in your car, you’ll be connected to your AVH-Z5250BT and enjoying high-quality voice calls instantly!
Reverse Camera Ready
With better visibility, driving and parking are easier than ever. The AVH-Z5250BT supports the addition of two extra cameras — selectable and viewable through the front display screen.
You can choose from a selection of reverse cameras, dash cams, and even front bumper cameras.
- Rear cameras take the guesswork out of reversing and provide a clear view of obstructions and pedestrians
- Front bumper cameras make parking easier and help to avoid annoying dings and scratches
- Dash cams record your driving activity and can save footage of any front-end collisions
